AB's Sesame Street Birthday Bash

Hey Everyone!!

I'm so excited to finally show you guys why I have been working hard making so many cute things for AB's party.  I didn't get to put a few things in that I wanted because I just didn't manage my time right.
HOWEVER
I think it turned out better than I had expected and I'm so grateful for everyone that came to share AB's 2nd birthday.  She had a blast and it was well worth all the hard work I put into making just about everything.  I think as the years have gone by my party skills keep getting better as each one surpasses the next. On To THe FUN part.....
...PICTURES...

I created AB's invitation and envelopes.  I just knew that I could make them just as cute if I were to buy them from someone else.  Plus it gave me a chance to create a NEW product for my Shop that will be opening hopefully before the summer ends.

I created the Balloon Wreath from a blog that shows you how to make them HERE.  I got the idea from Pinterest of course!
ALSO

What really kicked the whole Sesame Street party off was the project that "The Man" and I had made- The Sesame Street, Street Lamp Post.  When I showed "The Man" what I wanted to make, he took it to A whole other level with making it bigger, being able to light up, and the nice molding towards the bottom.  You can find the Tutorial for this Here.

I thought it would be a cute idea to have a cookie bar instead of a candy bar.  We called it Cookie Monsters cookie bar.  I wanted to make a cute banner for the bar but ran out of time........

We had "To Go" boxes for the guests to pack up some cookies or any food that they may of wanted to take home with them.

This was my favorite part about the whole party.  I really wanted to add something a bit different and fun for the kids.  SO, I did my research and watched a lot of Sesame Street and discovered "Hoopers Store" It was perfect.  I was already on the hunt for a vintage frame to turn into a magnetic chalkboard, so once I had put together that I turned it into the sign for the the "Store Front" This is where the kids were able to "Go Shopping" for their goodies to put in their shopping baskets.  The Kids went crazy at it and loved all the cool toys they could put in their baskets. (Note To Self)  If you decide to make it cute like a store front like above.... Some kids might want to take your display! hahaha... A can of tuna here and an apple sauce there...
But All in good fun of course. ;)

I found a cute outfit for AB inspired here on Pinerest. I wanted the scrap skirt but I found a tutorial on how to make them so I made one for her instead of buying one and it turned out better then I had expected.  You can find the Tutorial here.  She had on a White jean jacket from the Gap but got hot and took it off.  I will post pictures later of her birthday out fit when I get back photos from her birthday photo shoot.

I made the tissue poms from tissue paper bought on clearance at Target for .59 for a 20 pack.  One pack made one sun.  I will do a tutorial in the future if requested.  The ones I found online just didn't look full enough the way I wanted them to so I improvised and created my own method.  I also create the clouds.  I went old school with these with poster board, glue, and lots of cotton balls. (I did front and back) The Elmo Oreo pops were also made by myself and I actually have some Elmo's left to do a tutorial in the near future.  If anyone is having a party coming up and wants to know how I made them just send me a message and I can email you how I did it.
...However, I don't have pictures as of yet...

I really hope you all enjoyed the pictures from AB's Sesame Street Birthday Bash.  And please feel free to send me a message if you all have any questions about how I did what or where I got curtain items.

Until next time... Keep creating, living, and Obsessing...

    1. I believe they were 9" I got them in a set of 72 from Walmart. I believe I used over 400 Balloons. I wanted it to be well packed to give it a more round look. :)
