Where in the World is Sarah Sandiego??!!

Hey everyone!!!

I know I haven't posted in a while. I've been so busy with AB's party. It's this Saturday. The special tutorial is coming. I have it all ready but will save the post for next week. I also finished a magnetic chalkboard from an old vintage frame, balloon wreath, tissue poms, and clouds.

Let's just say I've been busy busy. :)

I can't wait to show you how AB's Sesame street party turns out. She is already going crazy over everything I have on the diningroom table. Let's just say its a mess!! I'm also making a cookie monster cookie bar for the guest to collect cookies to take home in a take home box, cupcakes, cake, Oreo pops, magic potion, and of course designing all the printables.

So much to do. I just wanted to stop by and say I haven't forgot about you all. I should have the special post up by Sunday. ;) so make sure you check back.

Until then keep creating, living, and obsessing. ;)

Midcentury Love and Spotlight Saturdays

Hey Everyone!

So, I've still been working on AB's birthday party so there will be more on that later.  But I really wanted to tell you all about the lovely ladies at Classy Clutter!  These two lovely ladies are what inspired me to start a makeover on my foyer!  The inspiration was this gorgeous redo....

It kicked off my foyer redo and I searched high and low for the perfect credenza. I finally found one on CL that was only a whooping $75.  It's a German piece and from what I was able to translate the wood is walnut! SCORE!  It's in immaculate condition, however I'm not a fan of the color and after AB's party I plan on hauling it outside and painting.  However here is the before ...

It also came with two skeleton keys because each door has a lock on it.  LOVE!! LOVE!!  One side has two drawers with a shelf on the bottom and the other two doors on the right have a shelf. Each door is it's own compartment!  Did I mention how much I love this credenza!!
.ANYWHO.
I also fell in love with the white lamps on the white credenza that Savannah had repainted, however, I wanted a more 70's vibe and found these lovely lamps at TJMaxx! (Love that store!)

And this is what it currently looks like...

I plan on doing a retro-modern stencil painting technique on the walls... But I haven't decided the color yet.  I want to paint the credenza first.  :) For more on my entryway makeover, hop on over to my obsession board on Pinterest here. Also, make sure you all check out the Classy clutter blog and try out their Spotlight Saturdays!  It's always fun to stay in the loop!

Until next time... Keep creating, living, and obsessing!

Elmo Envelope Tutorial

Hey Everyone!

I hade a huge jump on people pinning the Elmo Envelopes I made this past weekend and I felt like you all deserved a tutorial on it.  Because I had made these with my Cricut, some of you might not have access to the Cricut or the Elmo Party Cartridge.  So I designed the layout for it in Adobe Illustrator CS5. With a few minor adjustments.

The List
  • 12" X 12" Card Stock  Red, White, and Orange (If you want pattern paper go for it!)
  • Elmo Envelope Template
  • Black Fine point Sharpie
  • Ruler
  • White Gel or uni-ball Signo broad pen
  • Bone Folder
  • Scissors
  • Permanent adhesive Tape (Scotch Advanced Tape Glider) Or Glue
  • Photo double sided sticker squares

I'm finally getting over my cold so I have been working hard today to get some things done with AB's invitations.  I have a sneak peek to show you.

Keep in mind that its just an envelope, but at least it's a cute one!!  Hopefully I will get some more photo's up this week with tutorials on  "The Man's" secret project that he has been working on!  I know you all will just drool with awe!  But until then.... Keep creating, living, and obsessing!
